Sasa or the now was an inspirational piece of

designs in kebra designs. we used kitenge

fabric and Gabi fusion to make the trendy free

size dress. sasa design was made based on

true story combining kitenge fabric which is

usually called African fabric and gabi the

cotton hand woven fabric is as a zanzibari

Ethiopian I always have a feeling that as an

African country we Ethiopians have been

avoiding and shaming kitenge fabrics some

people refer it as black’s cloth. before I even

realized I was half zanzibari half Ethiopian I

always admire kitenge fabrics the color the

patterns on the fabric and how it’s made the plan to adapt African fabrics started back in 2019 when i was in college preparing

the designs I would wear for my graduation which was 2 years after 2019. luckily COVID

happened and it was the first step that gave me the chance to work on kitenge fabrics. I

did lost the original design of my graduation design I made the best one with a vibrant

African fabric.well back to the making sasa is a fusion of 2 different fabrics that tells

how rich and authentic African culture is.
